Hermilo Vargas Wins WSOP Circuit Bicycle Casino $365 No-Limit Hold’em Monster Stack

Hermilo Vargas emerged as the winner of the WSOP Circuit Bicycle Casino $365 No-Limit Hold’em Monster Stack last night to capture his first-ever gold ring. The player also collected $71,195 for besting the event’s massive field of 1,150 entries.
The $365 buy-in tournament was played over four days and featured four starting flights and one final opportunity to buy into Day 2 for $2,200. The No-Limit Hold’em event kicked off with a guaranteed prize pool of $300,000, which was exceeded to eventually reach $401,100. The top 135 positions were paid, min-cashes starting from $600.
Day 3, the final day in contention, kicked off on Tuesday at the host venue, The Bicycle Casino in Bell Gardens, California, with 17 players remaining from the gigantic field. Mario Martinez was the chip leader at the start of the day with a total of 3.36 million in chips.
Said El Harrak was the player to have emerged as the chip leader by the time there were only ten players left in contention. The ten finalists were gathered around a single table to play down to a champion. Vargas, the eventual winner, was the short stack at that point.
